As the whole world deals with the instability caused by the unhinged proceedings in the Middle East, cooler heads elsewhere are looking at alternatives to fossil fuels, particularly in power generation. Sarawakians are lucky that we have mighty rivers and majestic mountains. Premier Abang Jo shared some insights on his plans to maximise the potential of our natural gifts.
Which piqued my curiosity in the power consumption and generation capacity of our nearest neighbours. I found a surprisingly mixed picture, in the infographic.
My thoughts were triggered by traffic jams this week - in A String of Thought, I considered the possibility of avoiding the mistakes of Kuala Lumpur: the over-concentration of development in one city. Might Sarawak have a chance to do it differently?
