Low-Altitude Economy Push
16 - 22 March 2026. Issue 81.
This week’s issue centres on Sarawak’s push into the low-altitude economy — the growing ecosystem of drones and aerial technologies operating below conventional airspace.
The infographic puts global drone use in context. The number of drones in operation in China is nearly as big as the population of Sarawak. More importantly, Sarawak’s combination of vast landscape and sparse population presents the perfect opportunity for the application of drones.
Yet ambition has its complications. This week’s “A String of Thought” surfaces something stranger and less easily named — the unspoken unease that can settle around those who simply try too hard: the fear of success. It is a fear that rarely announces itself openly, yet it shapes communities in quiet, lasting ways.
