Two weeks ago I made a big deal out of squeezing more content into The Sarawakian while maintaining its one-page structure. Because I use digital tools (ahem), it was relatively easy to do but the result was not optimal. Technically there was nothing wrong but I lost sight of the fact that the real value of The Sarawakian was in curated news, not just in the gathering (all of) them. This week I made it easier to read but reverted back to the number of articles per issue, focusing on quality and not quantity. With great digital power, comes great responsibility…
This week’s theme is on AI and digital tools. The Sarawak government is pushing the digital economy hard - it’s a wise decision. The infographic shows the extent of AI tools being used globally. Interestingly, the adoption of AI tools has a large dependency on the grasp of the English language! This gives Sarawakians some advantage over non-English speakers. Perhaps we can put that to good use?
