Last week we saw some big moves in healthcare, and more to come next week as the big honchos meet to talk. Sarawak is rightfully seeking autonomy in healthcare as the Sarawakian terrain offers significant challenges. Sarawakian healthcare shouldn’t play second fiddle to Malayan healthcare after all. There’s some chatter about EPF and the retirement age, which is a lot more complicated than it sounds. An economist from UPM offers a view on increasing the retirement age as a means of averting a possible impending crisis of retirement poverty. This week’s infographic is about Alfred Russel Wallace, a naturist who deserves more recognition for his work, and certainly his place in the upcoming Sarawak Archives Building. This week’s op-ed wonders why aren’t we working with our rich neighbour Brunei more. Surely, it is only natural that we evolve together since we share the same space? Alfred would be proud.
